Our FAVORITE Tiramisu!

Tiramisu. Quite literally, the BEST dessert in all of history.

Noah’s not much of a sweets person but this is one of the two desserts where he can’t get enough. My tiramisu recipe is kind of a mixture of three different recipes I’ve blended together to make it work for us. This one doesn’t require eggs, liquor, or any baking.

And it’s simple. Like, silly simple.

You’re going to need the following ingredients:

  1. Heavy Whipping Cream
  2. Powdered Sugar
  3. Vanilla Extract
  4. Mascarpone Cheese
  5. Lady Fingers (which are RIDICULOUSLY hard to find in your normal grocery store so I order mine from Amazon)
  6. Espresso, of any kind. (Instant, fresh brewed, cold, etc.)
  7. Cocoa Powder (which I forgot to align in the picture)

*Note, this recipe makes a 9×13. You can half everything and make a 8×8 or 9×9.

First, you’re going to whip your whipping cream, either with a hand mixer or stand mixer. As it’s whipping, add in the powdered sugar and vanilla little by little. Honestly, I eyeball and taste test the amount of sugar I put in it. If you like to stick to recipes word for word, I have the set amount down on the recipe card. You’ll know the cream is done when it creates “peaks” in the fluff.

Once you have the right consistency, fold in the mascarpone cheese with a rubber spatula. This is easier to do if the cheese is at room temperature.

Next, you’re going to soak the lady fingers, one at a time in the espresso. I like to have a separate dish, not bowl, for the espresso so I can soak the lady fingers evenly. Soak one side, flip, and soak the other. Usually 3-5 seconds total per lady finger. They soak quick and start to soften quickly so don’t soak for too long or else it’ll fall apart in your hands.

Space the lady fingers in whichever dish you decide and spread 1/3rd of the whipped cream mix on top. Repeat these steps until everything has been used.

Those little squishy fingers are too cute to handle.

The most important step to this recipe. Always lick the spatula. Always. And make sure you have the cutest helper for the task.

Finish by sifting some cocoa powder on the top. Voila! It’s done. Throw that thing in the fridge to set for at least an hour or two then enjoy.

Make sure you slice yourself a giant piece. Trust me, it’s worth it.
